If you’re in Calgary and craving some serious BBQ, Prairie Dog Brewing is where it’s at. Located at 105D 58 Ave SE, this joint somehow combines the best of a microbrewery with a laid-back barbecue spot. Seriously, who doesn’t love a place that’s dog-friendly? Bring your furry friend!
I remember cruising past it for ages, thinking, “I gotta check this out.” Finally stepped inside and wow—the atmosphere was so inviting. Huge space with a mix of industrial vibes and cozy corners.
Their BBQ? Incredible. You’ve got brisket, pulled pork, and ribs coming from Canada’s largest smoker. Not exaggerating. Dishes are generous and flavorful. Trust me, those fries? Off the charts. The mac and cheese? Might have missed the mark a couple of times, but hey, they do have gluten-free and vegetarian options, so everyone can dig in.
The beer selection is a real standout too. Twenty taps pouring house-made craft brews, plus cocktails and wines. I had a flight to sample a bit of everything—definitely didn’t regret it!
