Feedback on Local Liquor Store. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) located in Edmonton (Alberta)
Description
If you’re in Edmonton and find yourself in need of a drink, the Local Liquor Store at 4234 66 St NW could be a stop worth considering. I strolled in last weekend, and let me tell you, it was a mixed bag of experiences—kind of like a box of chocolates, you know?
Now, the place is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., so flexibility isn’t an issue. But, uh, heads up—there’s a history of them closing a tad earlier than advertised. Some folks have shared stories about arriving just five minutes before closing, only to be waved away. Seriously, that’s like inviting someone to dinner and then not letting them in when they arrive!
The selection? Quite decent, really. Plenty to choose from if you’re looking for beer or some wine, although there are murmurs about prices being a little on the high side. Weirdly enough, I noticed the staff seemed… well, maybe not super engaged. A couple of reviews said they caught employees scrolling on their phones rather than helping customers. Now, that’s a bit concerning, right?
On the brighter side, some regulars vouch for the friendly staff. And the store is wheelchair-accessible, which is a plus. When I made a payment, options included credit cards and NFC mobile payments, which is flashy in its own right.
So, is it worth taking a chance? Could be! Just maybe manage expectations around their customer service game. In a world full of choices, I wonder if Local Liquor Store will keep its charm or fade into the background. What do you think?
