Feedback on The Nook Cafe. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) located in Edmonton (Alberta)
Description
So, I recently strolled into The Nook Cafe at 10153 97 St NW, tucked away in the heart of Edmonton. And let me tell you, it’s like a cozy hug for your soul. Picture this: the sun beams through those big windows, casting light on folks holed up with their laptops or chatting over what appears to be a delicious coffee.
I’ve heard it’s a hit with young families. They’ve got a small play area that kids seem to love. I mean, what’s better than sipping your cappuccino while your little one is busy with toys? But, I must admit, there’s chatter about the place not living up to its “kid-friendly” rep, with some parents feeling a tad judged for merely existing with children.
Now, the menu is interesting. There’s a buzz about the cinnamon buns, and I overheard someone rave about the apple-rhubarb slice. I get it—you want to indulge with something sweet, right? They offer breakfast, lunch, and yes, even desserts, so there’s something for everyone. And while I’m at it, the coffee? People seem quite pleased with that, although opinions on the flavors can swing.
But… here’s the rub—some reviews floated concerns about cleanliness and service. Dirty glasses? Not cool. Yet, the vibe remains charmingly hipster, complete with quirky decor that makes you want to take a million photos.
You’ve got to love that they even offer outdoor seating, making it a nice escape on a sunny day. And if you’re feeling generous, you can buy a “suspended coffee” for someone in need. That’s pretty heartwarming, isn’t it?
If you’re wandering around Canada Place, grab a seat at The Nook. Just be prepared—it’s closed most days, except for Sundays. A hidden gem, or maybe more of a diamond in the rough? You might want to swing by and find out for yourself.
