Have you ever stumbled upon a place that just nails the Italian vibe? Oretta King West at 633 King St W is one of those spots for sure! Since its debut in 2017, it’s been embracing Toronto’s King West with a blend of tradition and modern flair.
Upon stepping in, you’re welcomed by these stunning arches that scream “Italy” but also feel slick and contemporary. Seriously, it’s pretty hard not to snap a few pics just for Instagram! Word on the street says that happy hour (3-7pm weekdays) is where it’s at. Drinks are pretty reasonably priced, and the limoncello spritz? That’s a winner!
I’ve noticed that a lot of diners rave about the calamari and pizzetta. And hey, who wouldn’t enjoy a birthday surprise dessert like an elevated Ferrero Rocher? But it’s not all sunshine. Some folks felt the service lagged at times, which can definitely put a damper on the outing.
There’s a charming outdoor space too, not to mention decent options for takeout. Plus, if you’re in the mood for brunch, they serve that on weekends! So, is it perfect? Nah.
